Privacy policy
What this website collects, the cookies it sets, and what we do with anything you send us.
1. Who this applies to
This policy covers theeverybooks.com. It does not cover data we process inside a client's own systems under a signed services agreement — that work is governed by that agreement and any data processing terms attached to it.
2. What you send us
The contact form collects your work email, and optionally your name, company, role, the system you run and a description of what needs to happen. Nothing on this site requires an account.
3. How the contact form works
The form composes a message in your own email application, addressed to us. Nothing reaches us until you send that message yourself. If you close the draft instead, we never receive it.
If we later connect the form to a form-processing service, that service will receive the details you submit in order to deliver them to us.
4. Cookies and measurement
We set no cookies unless you allow them. When you first visit, the site asks. If you decline, or simply ignore the request, nothing is set and nothing is loaded — the site behaves exactly the same.
If you allow them, we use two categories of third-party provider, both acting on our instructions as our processors:
Analytics. Aggregate usage statistics — how many people visit, which pages they read, roughly where they are and how they arrived. This involves your IP address, device and browser information, and the pages you view.
Session replay. How pages are actually used — scrolling, clicks, mouse movement and the general shape of a visit — so we can see where the site is confusing.
Our session-replay provider is configured to suppress the contents of form fields, so what you type into the contact form is not captured. Neither category is used for advertising, neither is used to identify you personally, we have not enabled advertising or cross-site personalisation features, and we do not sell or share what they collect with advertisers.
These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. If you want to know which specific providers we currently use, ask us at the address below and we will tell you.
5. Changing your mind
You can allow or refuse measurement at any time, right here. Withdrawing consent deletes the cookies these providers set and reloads the page without them. Withdrawing is exactly as easy as consenting, and costs you nothing on this site.
You can also refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers offer a "do not track" setting which our providers honor.
6. Fonts and hosting
This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser requests those files directly from Google as the page loads, which means Google receives your IP address and basic request information. This happens regardless of your cookie choice, because it is how the page renders; no cookie is set by it. Our hosting provider may also keep standard server logs — IP addresses, timestamps and requested URLs — for security and reliability.
7. What we do with it
We use what you send to reply to you, arrange a call, and discuss whether and how we might work together. We use measurement data in aggregate to improve the site. We do not sell personal information, and we do not add you to a marketing list unless you ask us to.
We may share information with service providers who help us operate — our email provider, our host, and the measurement providers described above — strictly to the extent needed, and with authorities where the law requires it.
8. How long we keep it
Inquiries are kept while there is an active conversation and for a reasonable period afterwards in our business records. Measurement data is kept according to the retention period configured with each provider. Ask us to delete yours and we will, unless we are required to retain it.
9. Your rights
Email pavlo@theeverybooks.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to ask which providers we use, or to tell us to stop contacting you. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA, including the right to object to measurement; we will honor those requests at the same address.
10. Children
This is a business-to-business site and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
11. Changes
If this policy changes we will update it here and move the effective date. Material changes to how we handle inquiries or measurement will be described rather than quietly edited in.
