Close acceleration
Agents reconcile, match and prepare through the month, so the close starts with most of the work already done. Your team handles exceptions and signs the period, and the date it lands stops being a surprise.
Who this is for. Controller or CFO whose close takes too long, depends on a few people, and gets harder with every new entity.
The problem today
Reconciliations are done by hand at month end, AR and AP work piles up in the last week, and the same errors come back every period because nobody fixes the cause. The close is a sequence of tasks only a few people know in full.
With several entities, period-end risk shows up late. Each one closes slightly differently, intercompany rarely agrees on the first pass, and the group number waits for whichever entity is slowest.
- Bank statements flowing inThey reach the ledger each day without anyone chasing
- One calendar across every entityEach task has an owner and a deadline
- A standard for each accountWith a named preparer, a named reviewer and evidence
- Backlogs caught upOld unmatched items cleared, so matching starts clean
- Intercompany rules agreedBoth sides match the same way, so breaks are real ones
- Limits on amounts and accountsYou set them, and anything over goes to a person
What changes
The last week of the month is all reconciliations and AP catch-up.
Matching runs through the month, so you start with reconciled cash.
We fix the same error every close, and next month it is back.
Each blocker is logged with its root cause and gets a permanent fix.
The group number sits waiting on whichever entity is slowest.
One calendar shows what is holding things up without asking around.
What we deliver for a faster month-end close
Bank reconciliation automation
Statements are matched to the ledger every day, so month end starts with reconciled cash. Unmatched items are isolated as they appear.
AR and AP automation
Aging, statements, collections follow-up, invoice intake and matching run on schedule, so the work stops piling up in the last week.
Budget control
Actuals are compared to budget as transactions post, with variances flagged to the owner during the month.
A set close cadence
Every task, owner and deadline on one calendar across entities. You can see what is blocking the close without asking around, and your auditor can read the same calendar.
Reconciliation quality
Every account has a standard, a preparer and a reviewer, with evidence attached. Intercompany is matched on both sides, so you review a short list of real breaks.
Close blocker tracking
Every blocker is logged with its root cause and fix, so recurring errors get a permanent fix and leadership sees period-end risk across all entities.
What agents handle, and where your team steps in
What agents handle
Agents reconcile bank accounts daily, post routine matches inside your limits, prepare reconciliations, draft AR and AP work, flag budget variances and log every blocker. Every action is logged.
Where your team steps in
You set the limits on amounts and accounts. Exceptions and anything over a limit go to a person, and your controller signs off the period.

Questions we get
How many days can we take off the close?
We do not quote a number before we have watched one of your closes. Preparation moves off the critical path first, which makes the close predictable. Getting from predictable to fast normally means fixing a few upstream habits, and we will tell you which ones.
Do we need a close management tool first?
No. Every task, owner and deadline can start on one calendar on the record. If you already run a close tool, we work with it and feed it.
Does this work across several entities?
Yes, and that is where it pays most. We do not force one process on day one. We put every entity on one calendar first, which makes the differences visible, then converge the parts worth converging.
What stays with our team?
Setting the limits, handling exceptions and signing the period. The person who signs the close has to be able to defend every number in it, so the log shows what each agent did and which rule allowed it.
